Bird of the week was an American Golden Plover (9th-12th) at Cemlyn that takes the 2023 year list up to 195. It is the 11th record for Anglesey, albeit that some records may relate to returning birds. Perhaps surprisingly, spring records (7 – 2 in April, 3 in May and 2 in June) outnumber autumn records (4 – 1 in August, 1 in September and 2 in October). Cemlyn – Hen Borth has been the been the most productive area with 7 records, with 3 at the Alaw estuary – Llanfwrog and 1 at Malltraeth cob pool
