A new breeding record for Anglesey as the pair of Avocet at Cemlyn hatch 4 young, while a White-tailed Eagle did a good job of keeping a low profile despite its huge size. The return wader passage seems to be already underway.

	Greenshank	· 1 at the Alaw estuary (26^th)
	Redshank	· 5 at the Alaw estuary (26^th)
	Bar-tailed Godwit	· 3 at the Alaw estuary (26^th).
	Oystercatcher	· 74 at the Alaw estuary (26^th).
	Curlew	· 24 at the Alaw estuary (26^th). · 59 on the Inland Sea (27^th).
*Seabirds & gulls:*	Roseate Tern	· Up to 3 at Cemlyn (3 on 28^th, 1 on 29^th).
	Mediterranean Gull	· Adult feeding chick at Cemlyn (26^th) · Adult at the Alaw estuary (26^th)
	Black Guillemot	· 6 off Point Lynas (25^th). · 1 in old harbour, Holyhead (28^th). · 1 off Llam Carw, Amwch Port (28^th).
	Puffin	· 2 off Point Lynas (25^th). · 6 off The Range during a 2hr seawatch (29^th).
	Manx Shearwater	· 23 off North Stack during a 1hr seawatch (26^th). · 1321 off The Range during a 2hr seawatch (29^th).
	Gannet	· 10 off The Range during a 1hr seawatch (26^th). · 13 off The Range during a 2hr seawatch (29^th).
	Kittiwake	· 12 off The Range during a 1hr seawatch (26^th). · 16 off The Range during a 2hr seawatch (29^th).

*Raptors:*	White-tailed Eagle	· Immature from the Isle of Wight re-introduction project seen at Llanbadrig (26^th), Llanlleiana (27^th) and Cemlyn (29^th).

A quiet time in the birding year, but still a few birds to keep interest ticking over.

	Curlew	· 5 at Cors Ddyga – including colour-ringed offspring (18^th). · Up to 74 at the Alaw estuary (74 on 21st, 5 on 19^th). · 11 at Traeth Dulas (22^nd).

Three new additions to the Anglesey year list to take it up to 208 - 2 Black Terns past the Trwyn, Hen Borth near Cemlyn (10^th), a Little Tern at Cemlyn (11^th&13^th) and 2 European Storm Petrels caught and ringed at Point Lynas (14^th).
