Yellow-browed Warbler was new for the year and takes the cumulative year to date total to 226 (LISTS).  

A 2nd Pectoral Sandpiper for the year provided some extra interest, albeit that it proved to be very elusive. Increased sightings of Jay and the first report of Whooper Swan for several months were further signs of being well into the autumn season.

As Storm Amy batters Anglesey this evening, many birders will be mulling over the possibility of some decent birds once the wind settles.  There has never been a record of an American Wood Warbler on Anglesey, so here’s hoping!
