Week: Saturday 26th July 2025 - Friday 1st August 2025.

Returning waders and wildfowl were the main interests, but seawatching is starting to offer up the potential for some interesting birds - with the first diver for a considerable while.  There were no new additions to the year list, which remains at 212 (LISTS). Will Storm Floris bring anything unexpected?


Swans, Geese and Ducks:

Garganey

2, - in female type plumage - at Cors Ddyga (29th).

Eurasian Teal

7, at Cors Ddyga (29th).

5, at the Alaw estuary (1st).

Mandarin Duck

Up to 2, female plumage on a pool to the south of Cors Ddyga (2 on 1st, 1 on 29th).

Common Scoter

50+, flew past Cemlyn (1st).

1, on wet fields at the Llanfachraeth end of the Alaw estuary (1st).
