European Storm Petrel is now expected annually due to recent ringing efforts.  2 birds were ringed at Cemlyn (17th), while 2 were seen off the Holyhead - Dublin ferry (in Anglesey’s territorial waters 😀).  This takes the year list to date up to 212 (LISTS).

Perhaps the most unusual feature over the past week was the number of Little Ringed Plover - mostly juveniles - that were recorded at 3 sites.  There were no new additions to the year list, which remains at 211 (LISTS).

The Turtle Dove reappeared at Traeth Bychan after a two week absence, while waders provided one of the main sources of interest.  There were no new additions to the year list, which remains at 211 (LISTS)

1, at Penmon Pool - colour ringed Yellow C75 (6th).  Subsequent information showed that the bird was ringed by the SCAN group at Aber Ogwen on the 02/08/20 and was seen there again on the 28/07/21.

1 - among flock, at Penmon Pool - colour ringed Black 5E (6th).  Subsequent information showed that the bird had been ringed as a juvenile female at Llanrhystud in October 2018 and had been seen at Penmon over the past 3 years.
