There were four new additions to the 2025 year list; Spotted Flycatcher, Little Stint, Spoonbill and Curlew Sandpiper were seen across the week.  Collectively, they take the 2025 year list up to 197 (LISTS)

Swans, Geese and Ducks:

Russian White-fronted Goose

1, at RSPB Cors Ddyga (3rd-7th).

Snow Goose

1, at Llyn Llywenan (5th).

Pink-footed Goose

2, at Cors Ddyga (6th).

Garganey

Up to 2, drakes on a flooded field, east of the cycle path and south of RSPB Cors Ddyga  (2 on 6th, 1 on 5th).

Wigeon

1, drake at Cemlyn (4th).

1, drake on the Inland Sea (6th).

Long-tailed Duck

1, drake at the Inland Sea (3rd, 5th, 9th).

Common Scoter

2, flew north past The Range (9th).

Red-breasted Merganser

1, juvenile over fields south of Moel-y-Don (5th).

Herons, Egrets & allies:

Spoonbill

1, at Traeth Dulas during the morning then presumably the same at the Inland Sea late afternoon into the evening (6th) and again the following morning before moving to the Alaw estuary (7th).  Seen again at the Alaw estuary (8th) and at the Inland Sea (9th).

2, reported as flying east over Wylfa Head (8th). Observer unknown.  Observer is asked to contact the Anglesey recorder at: SteCul10@aol.com with further details as this is still a rare species on Anglesey.
