Cemlyn delivered 2 new year ticks this week. A Red-rumped Swallow at Plas Cemlyn, Cemlyn - then over nearby fields (25th) - will be only the 3rd record for Anglesey after 1 on the 11th May 2004 at South Stack and 1 on the 4th May 2008 at Porth Wen. Later in the week, 7 Egyptian Geese were at Cemlyn (29th). Together, they take the Anglesey year to date list up to 203.
Elsewhere, 2 Pomarine Skuas seen off 000The Range,
Holyhead (31st) were both notable and just reward for Ken Croft
after many hours spent seawatching over the past few weeks.
