Friday 2 February 2024

Week: Saturday 27th January 2024 - Friday 2nd February 2024.

The cumulative year list increased by 2 to 146, with the addition of Rose-ringed Parakeet (25th-1st) at Benllech and a drake Velvet Scoter (1st) off Benllech seafront (1st).  Whilst there have been a few records of single Lesser Black-backed Gulls over the winter, 3 together at the Alaw estuary (2nd) was perhaps the first evidence of a return passage by what is our earliest spring migrant.
