A quiet time in the birding year, but still a few birds to keep interest ticking over.

 

Swans, Geese & Ducks:

 

·     Nothing of note.

Waders:

 

Green Sandpiper

·        1 at Cors Ddyga (22nd).

Bar-tailed Godwit

·        3 at the Alaw estuary (19th).

Oystercatcher

·        Up to 249 at the Alaw estuary (249 on 19th, 43 on 21st).

Curlew

·   5 at Cors Ddyga – including colour-ringed offspring (18th).

·     Up to 74 at the Alaw estuary (74 on 21st, 5 on 19th).

·        11 at Traeth Dulas (22nd).

Seabirds & gulls:

Roseate Tern

·        2 at Cemlyn (17th).

Divers & Grebes:

 

·        Nothing of note.

Passerines & others:

 

Spotted Flycatcher

·        1 at Rhoscolyn (20th).

Kingfisher

·        1 at Pont Bulkeley, Afon Cefni (18th).

Cuckoo

·        1 at Mynydd Parys (17th).

·        1 at Holyhead mountain (18th).

Hooded Crow

·   1 on fields between The Range and South Stack (17th).

·        1 at Bull Bay (22nd).

Raptors:

 

Marsh Harrier

·        Female at Rhoscolyn (21st).

·        Up to 4 at Cors Ddyga (4 on 18th, 2 on 22nd).

Herons, Egrets & allies:

Quail

·        1 singing at Gadfa (17th, 18th & 20th).

Great White Egret

·        1 at Cors Ddyga RSPB (22nd).

Little Egret

·        9 at the Alaw estuary (22nd).

·        15 at Traeth Dulas (23rd).
